The immediate past Executive Vice President (Upstream) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mr Adokiye Tombomieye, has been invited by the House of Representatives Committee on Anti-corruption.
The invitation followed a petition indicting Mr Adokiye in allegations of over N70 billion fraud.
According to a source, few months after retirement, Adokiye was still allegedly in charge of certain accounts of the NNPCL and remained a signatory.
Allegedly aided by one Mr Adamu Agbadi, a staff of the NNPCL, the NNPCL accounts with Adokiye as signatory allegedly witnessed withdrawals of over 70 billion Naira.
Efforts to get Mr Adokiye side of the story at press time proved abortive, as calls put across to his cellphone was not returned.
Also text message sent to his line, were not replied.
