An unidentified driver with Lexus 350 while avoiding police stop and search headed straight to a building with shops, causing very serious damage on the house in Ogbolokposo Community in Uvwie local government area of Delta state.
Trouble started on Wednesday night of September 15th 2021, when the driver was running away from police checkpoint when the incident occurred.
It was learnt that the shop owners had closed home for the day before the ugly situation occurred, a source disclosed.
The source said the car hited a yet to be identified police officer on his leg before ramming into the said building.
There has not been any official report of casualty, a part from a police officer being seriously injured and the house being damaged.
Eyewitness said the incident would have caused serious casualty if the occupants were inside the building at the time of the incident.
However, attempt to reach out to Ebrumede police command for comment was not successful at press time.
