The Delta State Police Command has announced significant achievements in its ongoing war against crime, with the arrest of over 80 suspects, recovery of 31 firearms, 86 rounds of ammunition and cartridges, as well as dozens of stolen vehicles, laptops, and mobile phones during the month of August 2025.

Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Abaniwonda S. Olufemi, disclosed this on Wednesday September 10, 2025 during a press briefing at the Command Headquarters in Asaba.

He assured residents that under his leadership, the Command remains resolute in making the state unsafe for criminals.

“Deltans can attest to the fact that in recent times, the state has become very hot for criminals. The command under my watch will not relent in this mandate and will continue to go after criminally minded individuals to ensure they are arrested and brought to justice,” Olufemi stated.

Stolen items such as motorcycles, vehicles, laptops, phones, and household electronics were also recovered.
