Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a 32-year-old woman suspected to be specialized in “controlled illicit drugs”.
The police command also revealed that it recovered 284 bottles of CSC Codeine from her.
The suspect identified as Ugornna Nnanye, was arrested along Mariam Babangida way, off Okpanam road, Asaba, the State capital.
This was disclosed on Wednesday February 21st 2024, by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Surajudeen Olufemi, while parading others suspects at the Command’s Headquarters.
According to him: “She was arrested based on information receive that she deals in controlled illicit drugs.
“Upon her arrest, Two Hundred and Eighty-Four bottles containing substance suspected to be codeine were recovered from her.
“Suspect is in custody and will be charged to court upon completion of investigation”, he disclosed.
