Delta Capital Grounded As Protesters Go On Rampage

Asaba, the Delta state capital was grounded by #ENDSARS protesters who took over major roads and streets against bad governance and Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

From the popular Koka Junction, along the Asaba-Benin expressway, beautification garden and waterfall constructed by the state government of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa were ruined by the irate youths who said they are tired of the government.

The Customary Court, along the Ibusa road, was not spared as it was raised down by the angry youths.

Agofure Transport Line, was closed down to avoid attack by hoodlums who have hijacked the protest.

Also brought down was a police station by a popular “yanga market”, along Ibusa, by Koka Junction.

At the busy Nnebisi road, by Slot, Maduemezie junction, angry set tyres ablaze to prevent vehicular movement while at Interbua, youths, took over the road.

Commercial activities were brought to its lowest elb as banks, shopping malls, supermarkets, shops, ShopRite and business centres were shutdown.

Three youths were killed at the Koka Junction when military men allegedly opened fire on the protesters.
