In response to the recent attack on police officers at the boundary between the Akukwu-Igbo and Ugbolu communities in Oshimili North local government area, Commissioner of Police for Delta State, CP Aina Adesola, has ordered the immediate deployment of tactical operatives to restore order and enhance public confidence in law enforcement.
Following the swift response by police teams, several suspects linked to the attack have been apprehended during a coordinated sting operation.
These individuals are currently in custody and are providing critical information that aids the ongoing investigation.
In a resolute statement, CP Adesola condemned the unprovoked assaults on police personnel, affirming that such actions will not be tolerated under his leadership.
He issued a clear warning that extremist or violent groups will not be permitted to operate within Delta State, emphasizing the command’s commitment to addressing any threats to public safety and the integrity of law enforcement officers.
