BREAKING NEWS: Police Detain NDLEA Operative Over Death Of Two Years Old Boy In Delta

The police in Delta State have arrested the happy trigger operative of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), whose stray bullet killed a two years old boy, Ivan Omorhiakogbe, on 13th July 2023 at Okpanam, during a raid to arrest drug peddlers.

This was disclosed on Tuesday August 1st 2023, by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, while parading suspects at the Command’s headquarters.

The image maker revealed that investigation is still on but would soon be concluded.

The PPRO hinted that the culprit would be charged to court for prosecution.

It would be recall that The Story, had reported that operatives of NDLEA, were on operation to apprehend drug sellers at Okpanam Road Oshimili north local government area of the State, when one of its men shot sporadically into the air.

In the process, a two years old boy, Ivan Omorhiakogbe, was hit by a stray bullet on his abdomen while his younger brother, was injured on his eye following the shattered glasses from the bullet that penetrate the glasses of their mother’s shop on Edoz Plaza.
