Some gunmen suspected to be hired assassins have killed a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Sylvester Efeurhobo in Delta State.
The APC stalwart was reportedly murdered on Sunday April 9th 2023, at his country home in Agbarho, Ughelli north local government area of the State.
It was gathered that the APC faithful was shot at by his assailants in his residence at Agbarho on Sunday night.
It was learnt that the deceased was the Chairman of a pro-APC Support Group, known as the Achievers Group, in Agbarho.
Sources described him as a dedicated party faithful, a brother and father, generous to the bone.
They called on the security agencies particularly the police to fish out the hooligans, noting that justice should take its due course and “the perpetrators be brought to book, as we do mourn the deceased”.
Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright,confirmed the killing, adding that three suspects have been apprehended in connection with the gruesome murder.
His words: “Confirmed, we are still investigating, so far three suspect have been arrested”, the image maker said.
