An unidentified man popularly addressed as MOB, has allegedly ‘mobbed’ his pregnant wife, Beatrice, to death in Sapele, the administrative headquarter of Sapele local government area of Delta State.
Trouble started on Friday August 5th 2022, at a new generation Church, Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries sited along New Road, Awolowo Road Extension, in Sapele.
It was learnt that the man who was dressed in a short sleeve shirt was heard interrogating his wife on why she left home for church without doing the house chores and making provision for his dinner.
The impatient man who could not wait for his heavily pregnant wife to give explanation purportedly landed several slaps and blows on her, causing her to collapse before passersby and church members came for her rescue.
It was gathered that she was rushed to OBULE HOSPITAL where she was confirmed dead.
Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, said the police is not aware of the incident.
