… As House Of Community Chairman Raze Down
A community leader and immediate past Vice President, Orhoakpor Community, Anthony Oreh, has been killed by unknown gunmen in Ethiope east local government area of Delta State.
It was gathered that Oreh was killed in the early hours of Thursday, 23 September, 2021, forcing the local government chairman, through the Secretary to the local government council, Edisiri Aganbi, to issue a press release, imposing a curfew on the community between 7:00pm-7:00am.
He was reportedly killed when he tried to broker peace during an alleged cult attack on the vigilante chairman in the community.
“My finding tells me the boys that carried out the act were members of Vikings confraternity popularly known as Aro but yet to know while they confronted the Vgn man”, a source told The Story.
A trending video of Oreh before he died showed him bleeding profusely from a serious head injury.
He was later rushed by a sympathiser on motorcycle to a hospital where he died.
Meanwhile, the resident of the incumbent chairman of the Orhoakpo community was set ablaze last night.
The death of Oreh, make it double tragedy for the Community, as the Special Adviser to the State Governor, Barr. Mrs. Mary Iyasere, died on same day.
