…commends alignment of increased revenue with visible, well-funded projects
Veteran journalist and former Presidential Spokesman, Olorogun Ima Niboro, has praised Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, for demonstrating what he described as “truly executive” leadership, one that is translating federal allocations into meaningful and transformative projects across the state.
Niboro, who is also a former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), made the commendation in a reflective post following a breakfast meeting with the governor.
In the post shared via his Facebook page, Niboro lauded Governor Oborevwori’s focus, intelligence, warmth, and dedication to delivering real development rather than indulging in political pageantry.
“I use the phrase ‘truly executive’ deliberately,” Niboro noted. “Because while some states contend with ceremonial leadership, Governor Oborevwori is actively driving the engine of progress in Delta.”
He observed that the governor’s robust infrastructure drive is reminiscent of a time when Deltans yearned, even prayed, for sustained developmental momentum.
He credited Oborevwori for effectively channeling increased federal allocations into strategically planned and adequately funded projects that are visibly reshaping communities across the state.
During their private engagement, Niboro said the governor exuded optimism about the future, quoting him as saying:
“Delta ain’t seen nothing yet! Bigger, much bigger things are coming.”
In a strong show of personal endorsement, Niboro expressed deep respect for the governor’s performance under the MORE Agenda, Delta State’s blueprint for modernization and inclusive growth.
“If he didn’t earn it, you won’t see me a hundred miles near him,” Niboro wrote, underscoring his conviction in the governor’s capacity and authenticity.
The commendation adds to the growing chorus of endorsements for Governor Oborevwori, whose administration has prioritized sustainable infrastructure, people-centered governance, and equitable development across Delta’s three senatorial districts.
