Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), CFR, Orhue I, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
In a statement issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, the Governor extolled the revered monarch for his exceptional contributions to peace, development, and national cohesion.
Governor Oborevwori described the Orodje as a respected bridge-builder and custodian of integrity whose influence continues to strengthen unity across Delta State and beyond.
He noted that the monarch’s decades of service have been defined by an unwavering commitment to harmony, progress, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
He commended the Orodje for his exemplary leadership, his steadfast support for the state government, and his tireless efforts to promote stability and strengthen the traditional institution in alignment with Delta State’s developmental aspirations.
“On behalf of the Government and people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate His Royal Majesty, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), CFR, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Orhue I, on his birth anniversary,” the Governor said.
“We deeply appreciate Your Majesty’s invaluable guidance and your remarkable contributions to peace, unity, and socio-cultural advancement within the state.”
Governor Oborevwori joined the people of Okpe Kingdom in celebrating what he described as “an extraordinary monarch,” praying for God’s continued blessings, good health, wisdom, and strength for the Orodje as he leads the traditional institution with honour and distinction.
He further applauded the monarch for his unwavering dedication to preserving Okpe culture, fostering inter-ethnic harmony, promoting communal cohesion, and advancing peaceful coexistence across Delta State.
The Governor described the Orodje as an inspiration and a role model to leaders across generations, expressing optimism that His Majesty will continue to offer impactful service for many more years to come.
