The governorship candidate on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), in the March 18th governorship election in Delta State, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi FNIM, OON has rejoiced with the Senior Pastor, General Overseer and visioneer of God’s Will Mission Inc. Archbishop Oghenesuvwetoba, Solomon Gbakara, as he marks his birthday anniversary.
Gbagi in a statement on Tuesday December 26th 2023, by his Chief Press Secretary, Orusi Kenneth, joined the entire church, friends and associates in celebrating with the minister who has been in the Lord’s vineyard over two decades, on the milestone.
The former Minister of State for Education, described the President of the Elisha Generation International School of Ministry (TEGISM) also known as the next Generation Ministers, as a remarkable public intellectual and formidable advocate for good governance whose contributions to the State and country are immeasurable and unquantifiable.
According to the former chairman of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, “the man of God has never hesitated to speak out on societal ills and criticize our leaders when they derail from the responsibility of providing good governance and deepening our democracy”.
The security expert further said Archbishop Gbakara, who doubles as the Africa Director, Association of Restored Covenant Bishops (AORCB), “speaks truth to power; a task that often attracts adversaries in our kind of society.”
Gbagi, whom many have described as an enigma, explained that Archbishop Gbakara who is also the Vice Chairman and later Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Udu local government area of the State from 2004-2007 and 2007-2009, is a great asset to the State, Nigeria and humanity because of his tireless commitment to peace, unity and peaceful coexistence, saying “the passion he attaches to these efforts is amazing”.
The largest employer of labour further described the State chapter Prayer Secretary of PFN between 2009-2012, Treasurer, Pentecostal College of Bishops, Nigeria and Overseas, State Vice Chairman, PFN, Delta Chapter, Second Vice Chairman, International Communion of Bible Churches Nigeria and Overseas, as a voice of conscience as he celebrates his birthday.
He acknowledged the contributions of the Radio Minister, Hour of Freedom, Delta Radio, Warri and Urhobo/Native Language Programme, JFM Radio, Jeremi, to State and national development and progress in the over two decades of pastoral work.
He described Archbishop Gbakara’s life as one of devotion and duty to God and humanity, as such, “your life speaks of humility and compassion”, Gbagi said.
He noted that the contributions of the proprietor, God’s Will Mega Academy, Orhuwhorun, has shapen State and national discourse and prayed that the Almighty God would grant Gbakara longer life, good health and strength.
