Delta Governorship Frontrunner Gbagi, Gives Daughter Out In Marriage

Yes! Indeed, it was a society wedding as the crème de la crème in the society and who-is-who in politics gathered to witnessed the marriage ceremony between Onanome Gbagi, daughter of leading governorship aspirant, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi and Mr. Adimchiobi Okolo, at Oginibo, Ughelli south local government area of Delta State.

Former Miss Onanome Gbagi, now Mrs. Onome Okolo, was ecstatically happy as she says “Yes I do”, to her heartthrob who was already waiting to hear a positive response to the question “Would you marry Adimchiobi Okolo, as your lawfully wedded husband?.

Father of the bride, a complete gentleman dressed on suit, led his daughter into the Chapel before taking his seat at the front roll, while Mrs. Okolo, joined the husband at the designated place arranged for them.

Members of both families, invited guests and well wishers were already enthusiastically seated, waiting for the event to earnestly commence.

In his homily, Pastor Matthew Utienyi Odudu, who took his sermon from the books of Deuteronomy  28:1-14, Ecc. 1:4, Amos 3:3 and Proverbs 18:22, charged the newly wed, to keep their marriage in God’s hands.

“You have made a vow to agree with each other. Let nothing separate your agreement, stay on it. As you stay on it, the sky is going to be your limit.

“Your marriage will never see worst. Even if there are challenges, look at them as if they don’t exist”, he reiterated.

Meanwhile, father of the bride, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, took the son-in-law by surprise as he adopted him as one of his sons.

“Today, marks one of the very special days in my life”, just as he emphasized “all my children are equal before me. So, I want to ask Chief Emuobo, my son to adopt this young man as my son”, disclosing that the Gbagi family, has a standard “and they must not change”.

He promised to make the daughter, Mrs. Onanome and the husband, Mr. Adimchiobi, as traditional title holders in Urhoboland.

Meanwhile, the traditional rite was carried out on Friday 25th November 2021, at Gbagi’s Villa in Oginibo, Ughelli south local government area of the State.
