The Senate, Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), has given consent for one of the life changing Christian drama Ministry, Mount Zion Christian Drama Institute to be affiliated with the higher institution.
The approval was given in the 94th Senate meeting of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo State.
With the approval, the Drama Institute is to offer Certificate in Christian Performing Arts, Diploma in Christian Performing Arts and Bachelors of Arts in Christian Performing Arts.
Mount Zion Drama Institute, has consistently trained thousands of people in Christian Drama Arts for 28 year.
The institute which is overseen by foremost Christian drama evangelist, a script writer and director, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, has now been affiliated to the Department of Performing Arts and Music of the University.
The approval followed an application from the institute and visit by a panel from the University to inspect facilities in the institute.
The panel certified that the institute has the requisite staff and facilities to run the Programme of the University.
The Vice- Chancellor, Rt. Rev. Prof. who Chaired the University Senate’s first meeting at the permanent site on Oyo-Ogbomoso road, said the institute was one of the foremost Christian Drama institutions in the country, and given that Ajayi Crowther University is founded by the Church, it was fit and proper that the affiliation was approved.
Proprietor of the institute, Mike Bamiloye and his team, had earlier visited the University to express their desire for the affiliation.
With the approval given by the Senate, the institute would offer certificates, Diploma and degree programmes of the Department of Performing Arts and Music.
