As crisis continue to rock the nation over the activities of Fulani herdsmen in some parts of the country, resulting in the involvement of the military, a former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called for caution.

This is coming on the heels of the clash between the military and the Eastern Security Network (ESN), in Orlu, Imo state on Monday 25th January 2021.

According to FFK, on a post he made on his verified Facebook account on Monday evening, he said the military are supposed to be positioned to fight against criminal minded elements and not law abiding citizens.

Hear him: “The clash between soldiers and members ESN in Orlu, Imo state today has resulted in some deaths and this is unfortunate. I call for restraint on both sides.

“The soldiers ought to be deployed against killer herdsmen and not Eastern Security Network”, wondering when would President Muhammadu Buhari learn just as he called on one Chidera Agu, to “please stay safe”.

It would be recall that in Oyo and Ondo states, there are hand full of clashes between Fulani herdsmen and some Indigenes, leading to quit notice served on herdsmen.
