The people of Ekiti state have called on their governor, Kayode Fayemi, to attend to the needs of the people rather than engage himself in party politics.

A former Councillor in Ikole local government area of Ekiti State, Ayo Owoseni on Tuesday asked the state governor to focus his attention on how to put smiles on the face of the people of  Ekiti State.

Mr. Owoseni who gave the advice during a chat with newsmen in Ibadan cautioned Governor Fayemi against dissipating his energy on internal rancor within his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former Councillor lamented that he was greatly disappointed at the level of developmental project during his recent visit to Ikole Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti state.

“The governor should put smiles on the faces of Ekiti people by paying all outstanding debts of all political office holders from inception, and all benefits of pensioners, civil servants. He should ensure prompt promotions of civil servants instead of keeping himself busy with internal rancor of his party”, he said.

According to him, with the situation on ground in Ekiti state there is the need for Governor Fayemi to put more efforts towards human development in the state.

The former political office holder who hails from Ijesa-Isu Ekiti in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti state, also advised Governor Fayemi to use the advantage of Covid-19 lockdown to open up rural roads in order to allow easy passage of farm produce.
