A staff of the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDC), Yakubu Garkuwan Kumo, have been beaten mercilessly by a family for attempting to disconnect their house from power supply.
A viral video, the KEDC staff, Yakubu, had gone to the area in Kaduna Metropolis for bill collection on Monday, August 16, 2021, when they bounced on him.
The customers who are siblings ganged up on against the Electricity staff, are said to be brothers and sons of a retired soldier.
On getting to the home of the retired soldier, he asked that the family pays its bill but they declined.
Yakubu then started climbing his ladder to disconnect them from the power source, but the soldier’s sons pulled him down from the leader and beat him.
In the videos, the brothers assaulted the staff with sticks amid heavy punches.
