The governor gave the assurance Monday May 24th 2021, when he paid unscheduled visit to the ‘B’ Divisional Police Station and the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that were attacked by hoodlums in Akwa, the Anambra State capital.
While expressing regret, he commended the officers for their brilliant show of courage which minimized the effect of the attack by the bandits.
Hear him: “Saddened by the attack on Police B Division and INEC Headquarters in Awka, I quickly paid an unscheduled visit to the two scenes for an on-the-spot assessment.
“The minor damages caused by the attack are regrettable but I’m consoled by the bravely of our security personnel.
“Their gallantry repelled the attackers, ensured no sensitive material was touched at the INEC Office and most importantly, no personnel’s life was lost”, he added.
