The late Chief Ekweremadu, is the elder brother to the former Deputy Senate President of the Senate.
Trouble started on Thursday 4th February 2021, while Ekweremadu, was defending his ministry’s budget at the State House of Assembly, when he slumped and was rushed to the Niger Foundation Hospital, Enugu where doctors reportedly confirmed him dead.
The deceased was appointed as Commissioner in 2019, he made it to the House of Assembly, representing Aninri State Constituency as Chief Whip between 2015 and 2019. He has also served as chairman of the local government.
Although, the state government was yet to make official statement, it was gathered that he died in afternoon.
