100 DAYS IN OFFICE: Delta Counsilor Renovates Toilet Facility

Barely a month the social media celebrated a counsilor in Ward 2 and Deputy Majority Leader, 8th Legislative Assembly, Hon. Onem Tyna Miracle, representing Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State, for denying herself of luxury car gift and converting same to cash and constructed a bridge for her people, a Councilor in Delta State, Comrade Kenneth Ojimiwe, has followed suit.

Comrade Ojimiwe, who is the Councillor representing Okuzu/Obi-Ugbe quarters in Obiaruku (Ward20), renovated the dilapidated toilet facility in Obiaruku ultramodern market.

The Councillor, took up the project to mark his 100 days in office to ease the stress traders faces whenever they are pressed while still in the market but can’t make use of the toilet because of the dilapidated and dirty condition it was then.

Comrade Ojimiwe, who also is the Majority Leader of the Ukwuani 7th Assembly, while conducting some members of his constituent round the newly rehabilitated toilet facility ahead of the marking of his 100days in office, assured them of executing more projects that are within his financial capability.

The vibrant lawmaker also used the opportunity to assure the people of Ukwuani local government area that the 7th Assembly would certainly make laws that would be people oriented and people friendly.

He called on his legislative colleagues to try in whatever little way they could to executive projects within their various wards that would touch the lives of their people positively, no matter how small it would be, he said that’s the only way people would start seeing councillors as representatives of the people at the local level and not just for personal empowerment.

The outspoken and fearless councillor called on those that would use the toilet facility to make use of it as their own personal property and not as a public one, so it could stand the test of time.

He assured that he would continue to see that routine maintenance of the toilet facility at regular basis, so that the users could assess it at all times.
