One of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa’s critics and owner of SecretReporters, Ofejiro Oliver, has taken to his Facebook page to challenge the governor that his quarterly media briefing was founded on lies.
According to him, “The Press briefing today was a tissue of denial of the truth I have said and no amount of lies can counter it”.

I said he has endorsed Sheriff Oborowheri as Governor. I was explicit when I said he mandated DPV to adopt him two days after I announced Sheriff as his choice
It happened as I said.
I accused him in the morning of plan to put the state into N700 billion loan with his plan to borrow more. On the afternoon of that day, he sent request to the State House of Assembly to for borrow.
There is no bridging facility there. It is a loan your Excellency and Zenith Bank will collect 12% interest rate from the N150 billion loan.
I made the accusation that the delegates list has been hijacked by Victor Nwokolo. Did I lie? Was it not hijacked? Can we see the delegate list if I’m lying?

Okowa said appointees should say truth to power? Which appointee can look him in the eyes and tell him the truth?
Is it Patrick Ukah as SSG who has not finished drinking his beer everyday in the office that will tell him the truth?
David Edevbie that once told him the truth about his one sided location of projects in Ika land with state funds was sidelined from government and never allowed to see memos till he left the government.
And the journalists he was addressing could not even challenge him to the lies he was telling them.
