Delta State Police Command has presented cash gifts to families of those who lost their loved ones in the line of duty during attacks on police divisions including Nsukwa Division where three lives was lost, Umutu division where the command lost two constables, as well as those who died during the attacks on Akwukwu Igbo and Ashaka patrol teams.
In press release on Wednesday September 1st 2021, by the Ag. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, disclosed that the event took place on 30th August 2021.
According to the release, “The cash donations of various amounts was presented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police incharge of Administration, DCP Anyasinti Josephine Nneka.
“The DCP who presented the cash donations on behalf of the CP Delta state, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, said it was a token provided by the Nigeria Police community relations committee to the families of our fallen heroes.
The DCP noted that the token is to let them know that the efforts of their loved ones who died in line of duty did not go unnoticed, she also said that the families of the late officers should not give up in life, instead they should do all they can to make their late loved ones to be proud of them even in death.
The families appreciated the gesture showed to them by the PCRC, and promised to utilize what was given to them judiciously.
