The Legislative Arm of Udu local government area of Delta State has suspended five lawmakers in the council over alleged gross misconduct and breach of oaths of office.
The suspension took place in the legislative chamber of the council in Otor Udu.
The suspended lawmakers (councillors) are Hon. Oscar Okoro, Hon. Queen Oriendure, Hon Tejiri Odjemi, Hon Freedom Efe Shalokle and Hon. Emmanuel Ogolo.
The decision to suspend the lawmakers was unanimously accepted as pronounced by the Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Owholo Emmaunel.
