DELTADECIDE: Moment Ughelli Kingdom Stood Still For Gbagi (Photos)

Ughelli, the administrative headquarter of Ughelli north local government area of Delta State, stood still as the Social Democratic Party (SDP) gubernatorial candidate, His Excellency, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi OON, FNIM held his governorship rally.

The campaign trail first stopped at the Palace of the Ovie of Ughelli Kingdom, His Royal Majesty (HEM) Oharisi III, to receive royal blessings on Saturday February 11th 2023.

Massive crowd thronged the venue of the rally to show support for Gbagi, in a fanfare atmosphere.

Hundreds of supporters stormed Ughelli Kingdom Hall, the venue of the rally as the it was filled to capacity.

Gbagi had a grand entry into the venue of the rally as the crowd erupted into rapturous joy, as the SDP flag bearer drove in, in his Rolls-Royce.

The former minister of state for education and leading governorship candidate had no difficulty in finding his way into the venue, as the mammoth crowd were well organized.

The entire area was packed with crowd and supporters clad in different SDP attires and flags of the party bearing the party’s symbol, chanting solidarity songs for Gbagi and SDP.

He was accompanied to the rally by the South-south Vice Chairman of the party, Elder Fred Owotorofa,

Others who came with him were the Deputy governorship candidate, Chief Mrs Oshilim Ishioma Rosemary, the Director General (DG) Gbagi Campaign Council, Prof. Jiff Mokobia, the Deputy Director General, Prof. Augustus Atubi.

Also, the State Deputy Chairman, Chief Mrs. Esther Ikwule, Delta Central Senatorial chairman, Mike Dugbo, the House of Representatives candidate for Ughelli north/Ughelli south and Udu federal Constituency, Ejiro Marvis Emarheyo and Ughelli south LGA Chairman, Pastor Amos Osiki.

Equally present was the Ughelli north LGA Chairman, Hon. Tega Nikiro and his counterparts in Udu, Burutu among others.

The Director for Peter Obi in Diaspora, David Solomon, his wife, Pastor Mrs Solomon, House of Assembly candidate for Ughelli south, Oghenekevwe Temieno.
