Ahead of the 2023 general elections, candidate on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, FNIM, has reassured Deltans that from May 29th 2023, Delta State would experience rapid development.
He disclosed that he and members of his cabinet would serve Deltans as he would do all he could to see that the state experiences rapid change.
Gbagi, a former member of the Federal Executive Council under former president Goodluck Jonathan, who created 13 Universities, 16 Colleges of Education and 14 Polytechnics and eight federal girls government Schools in one year, said as governor, he would do it again.
He stated this on Saturday August 27th 2022z while addressing a gathering under the auspices of Kenneth Gbagi Christian Action for Good Governance Outreach in Oginibo, Ughelli south local government area of the state.
A politician with entrepreneurial mind and largest private investor who turned around the fortunes of the Delta Development and Property Authority (DDPA), under Commodore Ibrahim Kefas, from zero account to over N800 million by issuance of Certificates of Occupancy, said his leadership would give the state unprecedented speed.
According to him, “all my Commissioners will see and do things differently, the state will benefit from it.
“My Commissioners, I will allow them to run as Commissioners and they will not see reasons to finger public funds. It’s the senselessness of greed that has put Delta State in this mess that we are today.
“My government will be different. We have people here that can change it but they need a leadership direction. Once we have that going, which is what I truly have, the State will be developed”.
