The story behind the establishment of the state-of-the-art Renewed Mind Medical and Diagnostic Centre in Asaba, inaugurated by the Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, and the Head of Service, Mr. Reginald Bayoko, who served as Chairman of the ceremony, was driven by the vision to provide high-quality healthcare services to people from all social backgrounds.

Mrs. Favour Chikelu-Usigbe, the administrator of this impressive 50-bed medical facility located in the heart of Asaba, the Delta State Capital, explained that in order to realize their vision of promoting comprehensive health and wellness through world-class medical and diagnostic services, they made the difficult decision to sell their private properties.

Mrs. Favour Chikelu-Usigbe stated that their decision was based on their strong belief that the greatest legacy one can leave behind is selfless service to humanity.

“We may not be wealthy, but we want to share what we have with our community, and we hope to receive support from organizations, government agencies, and individuals who are willing to donate to our foundation to ensure the sustainability of this facility and provide medical services to everyone who seeks help here,” she said.

Speaking at the grand inaugural ceremony attended by numerous medical practitioners, healthcare professionals, and government officials, Mrs. Chikelu-Usigbe emphasized that every human life carries equal value, regardless of their financial status.

She revealed that their facility has partnered with other medical institutions in the United States of America (USA) to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to their patients.

“Our passion stems from the need for positive change and the belief that if every well-intentioned Nigerian can discard selfish motives and focus on community growth, our country will regain its former glory.”

Amidst the urgent need for improved healthcare delivery in Nigeria, Mr. Reginald Bayoko, the Delta State Head of Service, who presided over the inaugural ceremony of the medical facility, emphasized the crucial role of investors in shaping a healthier future for the citizens.

Bayoko emphasized that investing in the healthcare sector, as exemplified by the establishment of Renewed Mind Medical Center, would enhance human capital development in the country.

He commended the owners of this modern healthcare facility for supplementing the efforts of the Delta State government in improving the health sector and highlighted that the center would contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to Bayoko, “Investing in healthcare is an investment in human capital, which is the most valuable asset of any nation. Healthcare is not only a fundamental human right but also a social responsibility and moral obligation.
