Righteousness and justice are the foundation the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has vowed to build on in 2023.
Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo, has assured Nigerians that the government would be founded on truth and justice.
He gave the assurance Sunday August 28 2022, at the Palace of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III during a courtesy visit.
The parley with the king, members of his Council of Chiefs, a dancing troop and SDP supporters addressed the challenges facing Nigerians, especially the Niger Delta, including the taking of the wealth of the people that feeds the nation with little or no development in the region.
Hear him: “We are here to take your permission to spread our message to the iwere nation and to let you know what the SDP have for the people of Nigeria.
“I believe that in the time of Atuwatse III, that will be the time for the development of Nigeria and the development of Nigeria, must start from where Nigeria gets the money.
“What brought me as a lawyer into politics is basically that one must seek the opportunity to bring changes to this country and the changes must be beyond change or words or slogan”.
The man whose passion to serve Nigerians, knows no bounds, hinted, “In my traveling around, what I have observed is that they have made it clear that the role of traditional rulers should be beyond ceremonial.
“The wealth of the people should be managed through the kingdom, especially kingdoms that produce wealth for the country. I believe that this is worth innovation and Nigeria, is long overdue.
“I believe that this is the introduction that SDP is bringing to Nigeria, are not things that cost money because it doesn’t cost money to say the truth.
“I am happy that this daylight theft of the wealth of the Iwere people and neighbouring people have to stop and justice has to be donn.
The efforts of men like Adebayo are assisting the country in searching its conscience and doing not only the needed but also the necessary, continued: “I believe that if the only thing which the SDP can contribute to this country is truth and justice, then we will have the atmosphere of ways to build infrastructure.
“My believe is that the political class of Nigeria, the leaders cannot say that they are going to build real roads and wonderful infrastructure without first establishing truth which will lead to justice, truth.
“So, the Social Democratic Party, we have come to serve Nigerian people. God has been kind enough to us because he has given us everything.
“This is the time for us to level up and come here so that during the time of Atuwatse III, ten years after people should say I cannot find my way, this is a new kingdom.
“It is my believe that once we have a modern king and we are lucky to have a modern presidency for Nigeria, there will be a correlation and we can turn out fortunes to what God proposes.
“We need economic transformation, everything that we need is within our grabs. As president of Nigeria, I have looked around, I will not have one dollar more to add to the wealth God has given to the Iwere nation.
“All I need to do is to bring truth and justice and fairness such that the people whom God has given the wealth will not look at the government like a thief in the night who has come to take what God has given to them.
“We will develop this land, we will allow Justice to reign, we will allow modernization. This is the mission that our government if it pleases God if it comes to play will be founded on truth and justice and every other thing will be added”, he reiterated.
