An alleged serial criminal suspect identified as Waroguwa Ehiabor, has been arrested by personnel of a famour security outfit in Agbor kingdom, know as Agbor Gha-Ihun Vigilante group.
Ehiabor, a middle-aged man and an indigene of Alisimie community in Agbor, Ika south local government area of Delta State was caught by the vigilante with items he allegedly stole from a provision store in a community at Ime-Obi Agbor.
It was gathered that the group made the remarkable effort while on patrol at the early hours of Thursday, February 9, 2023.
It was a show of shame as the suspect was confirmed as a unrepentant criminal who specialized in breaking and entry especially stores to cart away valuables.
As at press time, the suspect confessed to the crime, saying that he had repented but wondered how he found himself back into same crime but pleaded for mercy.
Speaking to newsmen, the chairman of Agbor Gha-Ihun Vigilante, Comrade. Monday Kiyem, said they caught the suspect at 4:00am on the fateful day while he was moving the items fully loaded in a wheelbarrow to a neighbouring communities (Ogan) in Edo State.
“While we questioned him, he lied that the items belongs to him, but his lies were uncovered as we went round Ime-Obi Agbor to discovered the store he burgled at the wee hour.
“Also, we were able to reach the owner of the store who also confirmed that the item belongs to her coupled with the evidence showing that the store was burgled same night,” Kiyem explained.
Speaking further, Comrade. Kiyem disclosed that they have arrested the suspect more than six times and handed to the authority but having regain freedom, he returns to the same crime, urging that the full weight of the law should catch up with the suspect.
