LAND TUSSLE: Kinsman Attacks 65-year-old Woman In Delta

A young man identified as Mr. Agi Nwaicha, has allegedly shot a 65-year-old Mrs. Joy Bioseh from Onicha-Ugbo, Aniocha north local government area of Delta State.

While families are still in the euphoria of the festive season that of Bioseh, were ushered sadly into the new year as the 65-year-old Mrs. Bioseh was equally matcheted over farmland.

One of the sons of the victim, Mr. Chinedu Bioseh, said that her mother was attacked on new year day at about 1:00am, by the suspect who also hail from Onicha-Ugbo town.

Chinedu, in tears, said while others are celebrating the new year, “we are running here and there trying to safe our mother’s life”.

He said it is only by God grace she would survive the attack, as “my mother is in serious pains, though with forlorn hope of surviving.

He said his mother collapsed and fainted with blood gushing out of her while the boy escaped, thinking she was dead.

Accordiny to Chinedu, the family of the suspect had been dragging “our farm land which resulted to the attack”.

Said he: “Our farmland is what the boy’s family is dragging with us, yesterday night the boy lost his twins brother, and then he (the suspect) thought that we have hand in the death of his brother. My mum went to church and came back around 1:00am only to find out that the boy was waiting for her with gun, he shot my mum twice and then used battle axe on her”.

He said his mother is currently bedridden in an undisclosed hospital for medical attention while the case was incidented at Issele-Uku police station.

Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Oneme Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the attack, affirming that the young man is at large.
