Gunmen On Rampage, Kills Two In Delta Community

Residents of Osamujeta Street, off hospital road and Udu Street, off five junction, have lost their sleep and are thrown into mourning as assailants murdered one and shot another on the leg in Orerokpe, the administrative headquarter of Okpe local government area of Delta State.

It was gathered that the deceased, one Mr. Isaac Ikweku, was killed in his residence while the other one Beauty Oshovwere, was shot on the leg.

To forestall a further incidence, a meeting of the head of Orerokpe Community and youths was convened at the residence of Mr. Milveton Enajero, to map out security strategies.

At the end of meeting it was agreed that henceforth all residents within the community should not power generator set after 11:00pm and that all male youth should to come out by 11:00pm to guide their streets.

It was also gathered this arrangement would continue until the Orerokpe vigilante group was reconstituted, although it was also noted that during the period of reconstitution, the vigilante would still be in patrol within the community.
