The Director General (DG), Young Nigerian Rights Organization, Comrade Victor Ojei, gave the revelation to The Story.
The father, Mr. Wisdom was apprehended on Sunday 10th January 2021, by the police after the news of Zino’s maltreatment and starvation hit the social media.
According to him, “We have arrested the father few hours ago. We are also taking him to family court before the end of this new week. The infant is now hospitalized at Warri”, Ojei, disclosed.
He appreciated Barr. Maxwell Ogedengbe, Comrade Emeka, Comrade Nina who got worried since Zino’s news filtered into town.
He equally commended Comrade Israel Arigbe who also cordinated lots of calls to the Executive Assistant, Girl Child to the Governor of Delta State, Barr. Bridget Anyafulu.
“May God bless you for always having the interest of service to humanity when it comes to issues of infants and Girl Child.
“Thank to Wong Box for ensuring that Delta State Government, most Journalist and Police officers in Delta State got informed with this inhumane treatment to this infant at Warri, Delta State.
“God bless the “B” Divisional Police Station and its officers who arrested the heartless father of the infant that was dehumanized and abandoned.
“God bless all members of Conference for Actualization of Human Rights for the roles they all played.
“May God bless everyone who added his or her voice to this since yesterday via sharing and commenting on facebook. This goes to prove that there is power in social media, we all just took advantage to solve a problem in our society here at Delta State”.
