The family of Augustine iweriebor of Akatta Community in Imo state, has lamented bitterly over the disappearance of their son, Iweriebor Uduka Michael after the invasion of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) camp in August 26, 2021.
The Imo state Police Command had last year announced the killing of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra after the invasion their camp.
A close family source said that the father Mr. Augustine iweriebor who was accused to be the leader of IPOB was killed alongside his wife Mrs Augustine Iweriebor by the security agency for their involvement in the movement and freedom of people of Biafra.
The family said, “Uduka’s parents Mr and Mrs Augustine Iweriebor were victims of the killings in Imo state.
“The incident happened in a Akatta community, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo state, leading to the disappearance of Iweriebor Nduka Michael who his wereabout was not yet known”
According to his relative, Uduka has not returned home since August 2021 because of fear of been killed by those people who killed his parents.
The movement of indigenous people of biafra headed by Nnamdi kanu who is currently in detention by Nigeria government had been on the course for over the years.
