A combined security team comprising navy and police personnel have apprehended a full passengers bus suspected to be kidnappers, loading Upper Iweka at the Onitsha bridgehead, Anambra State.
Trouble started on Wednesday February 23rd 2022, when the bus pretending to be passengers bus, conveying the suspects with a mixture of boys, men, girls and women, picked three passengers in Onitsha, heading to Asaba.
It was gathered that as soon as the three passengers boarded the bus, two of the passengers, brought out a gun and ordered them to maintain silence while in the bus.
It was learnt that all the occupants of the passengers bus except the trio, were criminal elements who disguise to rob unsuspecting passengers and members of the public.
It was gathered that all three passengers were sitting on the back seat, as one of them a Naval officer-cardet, intelligently sent a text message to his colleagues at the headbridge over his predicament.
On receipt of the information, his colleagues mobilized all security forces at the headbridge and ambushed the bus on arrival and arrested all occupants.
