Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has rejoiced with a former Deputy Governor of the State, Chief Benjamin Elue, as he marks his 83rd birthday anniversary on June 6.
The Governor, according to a release on Tuesday June 6th 2023, issued by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Sir Festus Ahon, equally felicitated with the entire Elue family, wishing them many happy returns, as their son, husband and father turns another year, in good health and sound mind.
Oborevwori lauded the sterling service the celebrant has provided to the State, who was Deputy Governor to Chief James Ibori from 1999-2007, as a renowned teacher and politician.
He applauded the deft way Chief Elue, whom Oborevwori, described as a humble, dedicated and loyalty party man has continued to inspire younger generation of politicians and leaders.
According to Oborevwori: “It is with great joy that I bring very warm felicitations to you on behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta as you clock 83 eventful and remarkable years on earth.
“As an octogenarian and elder statesman par excellence, you have continued to live an exemplary life of great impact with many outstanding accomplishments, especially as a former Deputy Governor of our dear State.
“As a State, we have been blessed with very loyal and dedicated Deputy Governors of which you are one.
“As a role model and outstanding patriot, you served our State and Country very passionately and contributed immensely to our party’s winning streak in your home local government area of Aniocha North and Delta North in general.
“As you deservedly celebrate your 83rd birth anniversary, I join your family to thank Almighty God for His guidance, protection and provision for you and wish you many more fruitful years in the service of God and mankind.”
